John Padberg (1862-1935) Branch R married Magdalena Hartmann (1860-1936). They left Eslohe Westphalia and immigrated to Copper Harbor, Michigan in the 1880’s. John’s parents are not known so specific German information is not available other than the Eslohe location which makes the German branch Sieperting probably. John and Magdalena had two children but there are no known further descendants.

Their son, Henry (1888-1957) was in the US Coast Guards from 1912 to 1946. Their second child was a girl, Louise (1894-1979).
