Bernhard Peter Padberg (1813-1887) was the son of Theodor Peter Padberg and Brigitte Biscoping of Obermarpe, Westphalia. Bernard married Theresia Dünnebacke (1811-1874). They immigrated from Obermarpe, Westphalia to Detroit, Michigan in 1841. Bernard’s occupation was Organ Maker.
Bernhard and Theresia had four children, two of whom married:
John Bernard (1843-1916) married Catherine Lachman and had three children: Emma (died at 10 years old), Amanda (1876-1960), and Harry C. (1883-1959).
Their daughter, Catherine (1845-1893) married Caspar Schneider and had a daughter named Therese (b. 1872). There is no further record on any other children.
Bernard (1848-1878) was not married and had no children.
William Padberg (b. 1852). Church records show he was baptized on May 1, 1852. No other information is known.
