(Franciscus Ehrenfried) William Franz Padberg (1838-1929) Branch F was the son of Johannes Franzicus Padberg (b. 1815) and Francisca Speckard (1808-1850) of Kallenhardt. Because William Franz’s grandfather was Johannes Adamus (1769-1845), there is a close relationship to branches E, M, O, and P.

William Franz went to England where he was issued an Able-Bodied Seaman’s Certificate. In 1872 he married Alice Elizabeth Kronen (1850-1907) in London, England. They had nine children. The first two were born in London, the others were born in Jersey City, New Jersey after the family immigrated in 1875.
